Contrary to popular belief, an area rug is no longer just for the space underneath your dining room table, they are also practical for use in contemporary style. Many people have started to use area rugs as wall art, to accent pieces of furniture, or to draw a room together. The truth is, most people don’t think about their floors when designing a room, but the floor is one of the most important parts. In fact, guests in your home are more likely to look at the floors than the walls.
Consider placing an area rug underneath your living room coffee table, or accentuate your favorite chair or couch with an area rug. You can match fabric colors and patterns on your furniture to a unique area rug. Elaborate or expensive rugs make also make great wall art!
